Measure the new space and confirm building rules before deciding what furniture can stay. A senior move-out cleanout should follow the move plan, not compete with it.

Measure both ends of the route

  • Furniture width, depth, height, and removable parts
  • Door openings, hallway width, ceiling height, and tight turns
  • Elevator door and cab dimensions
  • New-room wall lengths and usable floor area
  • Distance from parking or loading area to the home

Ask the building before choosing the date

Confirm move hours, elevator reservations, loading access, parking, floor protection, insurance paperwork, gate or concierge procedures, and noise rules. These requirements can change the schedule and labor plan.

Day-before check

Separate the belongings moving with the resident from everything in the cleanout scope. Keep medication, documents, keys, chargers, mobility items, and the first-night bag with the person moving.

Use removal as the final pass

After retained belongings leave, review the remaining rooms and access with the cleanout team. That final boundary prevents a move item from entering the hauling load.

When the removal group is ready

Review the companion Senior Move-Out Cleanout service, then call or text (425) 522-3063 with the rooms, bulky items, access, and deadline.
